An Artists Cooperative based in the Cotswolds with Stroud as its heart.
The Stroud Artists Cooperative was set up in 2021 and our first event was an outdoor Stroud Art Fair with over 40 artists participating! Our aim is to provide a forum for local artists to support each other; learn from each other; provide opportunities and generally work collaboratively with members and other local bodies to promote art and artists in Stroud.
The Cooperative is entirely run by members on a volunteer basis - All are welcome to suggest activities and events (providing you are also happy to help arrange them!). Some areas of the website are still under construction! But we hope that you enjoy looking through our artist pages!
Latest News:
We already have some wonderful local artists' work up at Woodruffs Cafe in Stroud - and feature different artists each month! This month, it's artists Sally Smith and Chris James!
Our next event is an Open Exhibition of member's work at the end of October in Lansdown Gallery in the heart of Stroud - these exhibitions are always lively and dynamic as it reflects the wide range of styles and talent we have.
Sadly we were affected by the internet outage in Rodborough - but back on track now! Anyone still waiting for a response from us, give us a nudge :)
Some of our other events already in the works for 2023 include an annual sketch out and paint retreat in the Gower; portrait painting workshop; Exhibitions; Outdoor Art Fairs (usually around Stroud) plus the ongoing Sunday Sketchers and Painters group. We have lots of ideas for workshops which we hope to arrange through the year...
If you are an artist interested in joining the Cooperative or being involved in our events and activities, please use the Invitation button below or go to the Calling Local Artists page.
